Continued Focus on Water Conservation and Waste Reduction
For more than a decade, GWLRA has advanced environmental performance across its managed office portfolio through its Sustainability Benchmarking and Conservation Program (SBCP). Launched in 2013, the program provides a structured, goal‑driven framework to deliver measurable improvements in resource efficiency.
The SBCP was implemented through successive five‑year cycles, initially focusing on energy, water and waste. A second phase, introduced in 2019, reinforced these priorities across the portfolio. Together, these efforts delivered meaningful reductions in environmental impact, including significant decreases in water consumption and ongoing progress in waste diversion.
With energy and emissions reductions now addressed through GWLRA’s 2030 carbon footprint ambition, the SBCP was relaunched in 2025 with a refined focus on water conservation and waste reduction.
Through the SBCP, GWLRA continues to embed sustainability into its operations, supporting efficiency improvements, utility cost management and long‑term value creation for clients and tenants.
